City of Almeria - visit the Alcazaba, an ancient Arab fortress built
by the Calph of Cordoba. City of Granada and the famous Alhambra
can be seen in a days trip. Alpujarras valley with its famous white
washed villages and the cave houses at Guadix on the Granada road.
Tabernas Desert visit Mini Hollywood, the location of many a spaghetti
western such as 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'. Las Salinas salt
flats. Las Almoladeras bird sanctuary. Old Gold Mines at Rodalquilar.
Sorbas Town. Cabo de Gata Lighthouse Beaches - Cabo De Gata National Park - the largest coastal nature reserve in Andalucia, loads of unspoilt beaches to explore such as Play de los Genoveses, has shallow waters and plenty of shading from pine trees, ideal for all the family. Retamar beach is also very quiet and unspoilt, has a couple of beach bars and some water sports |
