Springs |
| Desert
Springs captures the essence of what it is that sets golf apart from
other sports and will have travelling golfers anxious to sample the
desert golf experience. Built to comply with full USGA specifications
and quality standards of the now famous desert courses of Arizona
and California, The Indiana is the first of two 18-hole courses to
be built on the resort. When stretched to its full length of 6,173
metres, the layout is built to challenge the world`s best players.
However, the bunker placements and positioning of hazards allows the
design to present a more accommodating challenge when played from
the yellow tees. The 18 hole Indiana course opened in 2000 and another
18 hole are due to open next year. |

| La
Envia provides a more undulating layout than the other two courses.
The course has been laid out with mountain and desert scenery making
it totally different to its 2 neighbours and by far the most spectacular.
The course runs up and down a huge valley and it is noteworthy that
the greens here are as excellent as are the clubhouse views. Buggy
recommended. |

Serena Golf Course was designed by Angel Gallardo and Peter Allis.
The course is flat as it is located close to the beach, giving it
the character of a true links course, which bears winds from both
the east and west, so golfers take your shots with accuracy. The greens
are small, sloping and protected by bunkers adding to the challenge
and accuracy of the game but provides a fair test for all levels of
the game. Twelve of the greens are not only sloping, they also have
water features, so chose your shots carefully. Considerable improvements
have been made to this lovely course over the last two years including
a completely refurbished clubhouse and changing facilities. |

The
course is located just outside the town of Vera and only 7 km from
the beaches of Vera and Garrucha.
The 18-hole golf course has been designed by José Canales,
paying careful attention to every detail and integrating the course
into the surrounding landscape by making use of the indigenous vegetation
giving it the spirit and character of Andalusia and the magnificent
surroundings that bring to mind the American golf courses of Arizona.
The course design and setting make it quite spectacular. A characteristic
of the course is that the tees are positioned on small raised platforms
surrounded by volcanic rock, as well as the wide, generous fairways. |
